Sew

I was taking a sewing class, and I learned a lot! I'm planning on starting back next week! Because I finally feel like myself! I'm excited. I finished a bib yesterday that I started in class. I think it's cute. It makes me smile.

Ivory is 3!

Happy Birthday to Ivory! She is THREE! She is getting a special treat tonight. Her menu tonight consist of can food mixed in with her Natural Choice food and for desert she will have Nilla Wafers with peanut butter...yum! She is such a sweet obedient doggie. She loves to bite the weed-eater and blower, play with Blue, and check the berries for birds and deer.

Yes, that's a turtle in her mouth, and the head is in her mouth.

I was spring clean, and she had other ideas on how to fix the sofa.

She was the best mother to 12 pups.

the newest baby girl

We all welcomed Catelynn Elizabeth Hutton as Shauna and William became first time parents to a beautiful little girl! We are so excited, and she is so sweet. We went to visit Cait in Jackson on Tuesday and returned Thursday night for a surprise visit. Everyone is doing well! She weighed 8 lbs. 7 oz and 21 inches long. She was born on May 25th at 3:27 pm.

Our Baby

I was so sure. I'm glad I don't gamble, because I would have bet it ALL! All on pink. We were nervous as cats waiting, waiting, and waiting to be called back to the sonogram room. Shad and I prepared to hear the news. Girl or Boy. Finally, I heard my name being called, and we knew the wait was almost over. We headed back to the room to watch the miracle on the big screen.

We watched as the tech measured and took pictures to give to the doctor. My mom reminded me the night before to cherish this feeling of wonder, because years from now the feeling of wonder would drift away because the not knowing if it's a he or she would be replaced with our son or daughter. And we would forget that feeling of wonder. So I soaked in the images of the wild movements of our baby.

And then out of the blue the words, "It's a little boy" came from her mouth. I instantly looked to my left at Shad with tears in my eyes. I watched his smile grow bigger and bigger as he glared deeply in my eyes with joy. We watched our little boy stretch his little legs, turn over, and wave his little arms. It was truly amazing. Words can't describe that moment of watching this miracle with the love of my life. Our miracle. Totally magical. I hope I never forget that special moment that we shared.

Below I have a few pictures. I think the tech printed us about 15 different shots of our little boy! Shad will not let me post a "pee pee" picture. He justified his reasons by saying I wouldn't want him to post a picture of my area on the internet...so very true! So NO "pee pee" pic.

Below is a picture of his little feet.

Pink or Blue

PINK!

Or

BLUE

Well, it's time! Tomorrow we find out if it's pink of blue! We are so excited. We've had many votes, but we will know FOR SURE around 4:00 Monday! I think it's a girl, and Shad thinks it a boy. Blue and Ivory don't know.

80's day

When the working day is done,
Oh,girls,
They wanna have fu-un.
Oh,girls,
Just wanna have fun...

It was 80's day at school on Friday, and you know I love to dress up. I'd love to be on "Let's Make a Deal" because I love costumes! On Friday everyone was decked out. My bump didn't fit into my costume to well, but Casey and Sara look GREAT! All the kids looked great too!

Grown up now...

Well, last year she wasn't successful. Not one made it. But, she learned a lot! AND this year everyone made it! Hopefully next year she will build her nest somewhere else because we're going to change up that column!

F-O-U-R!

My B.B. King is four today! I can't believe it! It seems like yesterday that Shad and I drove to Burnsville, MS to meet the breeder. Shad loves telling the story on how I picked Blue out from the car as I yelled, "I hope the brown one is a BOY." We should have known that he was going to be trouble when he was the only pup running around, laying in the large water dish, and then rolling in the mud...and if that wasn't a big enough HINT of trouble, we should have realized it when the breeder had to bathe him before we could bring him home! Ahhhh, memories. And if he escapes like he did two days ago...you can still find him in the water. Now it's just the country club's lake. Oh how I do love that furry hunk of love! Happy birthday, Blue!

silly girls and crawfish

I love crawfish! When I think of crawfish I think of college. I remember having a Super Bowl party at my apartment and learning to suck the heads of the nasty little creatures... I love them. I will eat them all day long, but I won't touch alive one!!! That's way too scary.

We've been to several crawfish parties this spring. Lane and Kendall asked us to come over Friday night to enjoy crawfish again. I was so excited! Definitely the excitement of the weekend for me! I took this cute picture Lane and Kendall's little girl, Sydney and her cousin. These are some brave girly girls! I don't know if you can tell, but Sydney has on her Ariel dress and both of the girls are holding live ones! I'm not sure, but I don't think the real Ariel would have been chowing down on crawfish like the Ariel at the party. :)
